Description LEO (Logistics Execution Optimizer) is a solution directly integrated in SAP R/3, optimizing the complete process for the distribution of goods from carton, pallet and load space optimization, order picking planning and controlling, paperless picking through to route planning.

LEO consists of the following modules which can be selected in any combination:

1. ORTEC LEO Carton Packing Optimization - CPO
Determines which article and its optimal placement and best packaging based on a delivery from R/3®.



2. ORTEC LEO Pallet Packing Optimization - PPO
Optimizes the quantity and configuration of the order picked pallets on the basis of SAP® deliveries while taking various restrictions into consideration (e.g. pallet type, package weight, etc.).

3. ORTEC LEO Warehouse Control and Picking System - MLS
ORTEC LEO MLS Mobile Logistics Solution for modern data radio transmission technology. For flexible paperless display and optimization of complex order picking and warehouse processes.

4. ORTEC LEO Vehicle Space Optimization - VSO
Plans and optimizes the physical processes for loading containers, trucks, trailers, rail cars and airfreight containers.



5. ORTEC LEO Route Optimization - SRO
Performs the route optimization on the basis of pallet optimization and order picking results.
The result is a system for optimizing the complete goods transport with modular components that can be used as needed.
The ORTEC LEO optimization components are directly integrated into SAP R/3. All master and transaction data required for optimizing the logistics processes are managed in SAP.
When simultaneously using the ORTEC LEO Optimizer for carton, pallet and load space optimization along with ORTEC Leo MLS, you benefit from a comprehensive and flexible logistics solutions leading to the optimization of the your entire distribution logistics chain which is integrated in SAP.
The communication between ORTEC LEO and SAP is established through direct program-to-program communication. All dialogues take place in the standard R/3 GUI, some of which has been adapted or developed as ORTEC LEO-specific dialogues. ORTEC LEO is integrated into the standard processes of R/3 so the “look and feel” for a user is the same as the SAP GUI.
