Multi-depot scheduling and scenario analysis resulting in optimized routes
ORTEC successfully completed the implementation of ORTEC Vehicle Routing & Dispatch Solution (ORTEC VRD) for route planning & scheduling at TNT Innight in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. As a result of a thorough vendor selection process, TNT Innight decided to replace their existing system with ORTEC VRD to support their tactical planning and vehicle routing processes. The most important reasons for this decision are the availability of specific ORTEC VRD functionality (like multi-depot scheduling and scenario analysis options), the level of detail of the NAVTEQ’s road maps used (street level detail for exact geo-coding of customer addresses) and the quality of routes generated by ORTEC VRD.
