ORTEC Team Support Systems Director Gert Jan Wormmeester and Senior Sales Manager Erik Kaats will be traveling to China next Saturday at the invitation of the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF). ORTEC Team Support Systems will be joining a delegation of innovative companies, organizations and representatives from a number of universities who will introduce themselves in China under the supervision of Jet Bussemaker, State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sports.

“We will show what the Netherlands and, of course, ORTEC Team Support Systems have to offer,” says Gert Jan Wormmeester of Team Support Systems, a company renowned for sports analysis systems.

Asian Games
In preparation for the Olympic Games (2008) and the Asian Games (2010) China is investigating sports-related technologies. “China has already shown an interest in Dutch training methods and the use of statistics,” says Gert Jan Wormmeester. “A number of important meetings have already been scheduled. We have, for instance, been invited for an interview with the organizational committee of the Asian Games. These are similar to the Olympic Games, but the Asian Games are held biannually. Furthermore, we have an appointment at a large volleyball and basketball center. They are interested in our volleyball statistics.”
