Optimal planning of each order and vehicle: which orders should be done by truck and in which sequence, given the various restrictions, time windows and business rules. Which orders can be combined to form an optimal route, assignment of trips to trucks to minimize empty mileage and optimize return loads and multi-depot operations.
Dispatching of orders. What is the best truck for each order, given their actual positions in order to minimize empty mileage? Are their alternative routes, considering also intermodal opportunities, tariffs and time-tables and cross-docking facilities? How can we take all kind of ADR and legislation rules into account?
Where are my resources during the day, what is the actual position of the trailers, trucks and drivers? Is there a good balance between the flows in my network and the truck fleet to optimise the utilisation of my fleet? Are there opportunities for using all kind of subcontractors?
Do we respect all ADR-restrictions, from a resource and a driver point of view? Is there a need for cleaning, what are the cleaning locations with their tariffs and opening windows? How can I optimise the utilisation of the compartments and deal with all contamination rules, given all official and other agreed legislation.
